Please review these Terms of Use before using UseMil Convert. By accessing or using our website and conversion tools, you agree to comply with and be bound by these operational conditions.
Notice to Visitors: These Terms of Use describe the technical and operational guidelines governing the UseMil Convert service. They do not constitute formal legal advice and are subject to ongoing review by the platform administrators.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By visiting https://usemil.online or using any client-side or server-side conversion utilities provided through our website, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please discontinue using the service.
2. User Responsibility & File Rights
You maintain 100% ownership and all intellectual property rights to every file you select, process, or convert using UseMil Convert.
By uploading or processing a document, image, audio track, video clip, or spreadsheet, you represent and warrant that:
- You are the creator or owner of the file, or hold appropriate licensing and permissions to transform it.
- Your conversion does not infringe upon any third-party copyright, trademark, trade secret, or privacy right.
- The file does not contain unlawful, harassing, defamatory, or abusive content.
3. Operational Limits & Service Availability
UseMil Convert is provided free of charge on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To maintain system reliability and prevent resource exhaustion across our infrastructure, the following technical limits apply:
- File Size Ceiling: A strict maximum file size of 50 MiB (52,428,800 bytes) applies to individual uploads. Larger files are rejected prior to processing.
- Rate Limiting: Requests are limited to 20 requests per minute and 250 MB per 10 minutes per IP address. Exceeding these limits returns an HTTP 429 response.
- Execution Timeouts: Audio conversions time out after 20 minutes, video after 5 minutes, PDF after 3 minutes, and documents/spreadsheets after 2 minutes.
- Retention Lifespan: Server-converted files expire and are permanently purged 60 minutes after creation.
UseMil uses industry-standard, high-grade conversion engines (FFmpeg, Poppler, Pillow, pdf-lib, OpenPyXL). However, automated file conversions can be affected by proprietary codecs, embedded fonts, complex macro formulas, or atypical formatting.
We cannot guarantee 100% visual or mathematical fidelity for every file structure. Always keep original backup copies of your files and review converted results before deleting source materials.
5. Prohibited Activities
You agree not to engage in any of the following activities when interacting with UseMil:
- Uploading viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs, or malicious payloads intended to compromise server infrastructure.
- Submitting decompression bombs (e.g. image files exceeding 25 megapixels or zipped archives designed to exhaust server memory).
- Attempting to probe, scan, test the vulnerability of, or breach any authentication or security check on our servers or WireGuard network.
- Deploying automated bots or scrapers designed to bypass rate limits or overburden server queues.
- Reverse engineering or tampering with internal system services or API endpoints.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, UseMil and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of business opportunities, or system interruptions resulting from the use or inability to use the service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
7. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to revise these Terms of Use at any time. When modifications are made, the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document will be updated. Continued use of UseMil Convert after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
